Getting Started

Well as of Monday, I have joined the local ladies only gym. Today was my second visit.

I do have to say that I have much more energy already. Sore but my outlook has improved almost overnight.

I can do this. I am also combining organic fresh fruit and vegetable juices. I wanted to do a juice fast but time is not working with me at this time. Maybe in a day or two. I am eating only organic whole foods along with the juicing.

I will be going to the gym every Mon., Weds., and Fri. I will be alternating upper body with lower body exercises. Afterward I head for the sauna and steam rooms to get rid of the toxins that are being removed by eating the organics and juicing. Shower and then the whirlpool. And that wraps up my day at the gym.

I have heard that keeping a log of what you do when dieting and exercising will help keep you on track. I hope that I will be able to get on here daily and keep track.

Food for the day:

carrot juice 3 glasses
tomato, celery, red pepper 1 glass
organic banana
organic fresh mandarin oranges 2
spinach souffle
10 maybe more glasses of distilled water

Lower body work out.

Splitting your workout into upper and lower body is a great start. Remember to ensure that you are getting enough proteins. Contrary to popular belief fat and proteins are essential for health bones, muscular bones and supple joints.

What are your goals? Get fit, lose weight, tone up, all of the above?

Glad to have you on board, and hope that you do manage to keep your blog going. It really does help you keep motivated - you can see your own progress, and keep track of diet too. I am currently doing Atkins. Really interesting to read the book, makes a lot of sense. If you are looking to lose weight, I really recommend that you take a look at the Atkins approach. It is much easier to maintain energy levels while exercising 3 times a week on a diet high in protein and fat.

Oh, if the distilled water is free, go for it, but unless you live in an area with no clean water supply, tap water is really good enough!

Good luck, and I look forward to reading your next update!
